” This Warrant Officer has performed his Duties in Divisional Artillery Headquarters for a considerable time,  including the periods 8th August to the conclusion of hostilities 11th November 1918.  His duties have been exacting  and continuous, and have at times during the recent operations , been carried out under very adverse conditions.  By his tireless efforts and hard work,  he has succeeded in rapidly and accurately carrying out the supervision of a large number of operation orders at short notice, thereby rendering  most valuable assistance to his Commanding Officer.  His zeal and application are worthy of special recognition “.
