30/11/1915- To 37 Depot Blackboy Hill WA as Private
16/12/1915- To 1st Miners Corps, Blackboy Hill as Sapper
20/02/1916- Embarked from Sydney NSW aboard ” Ulysses ”
22/02/1916- Disembarked Melbourne VIC and transferred to Broadmeadows Camp
1/03/1916- Embarked Melbourne bound for Fremantle WA. After taking on further troops, the Ulysses struck a reef when leaving Fremantle, so troops were sent to Blackboy Hill Camp for further training until ships repairs completed.
1/04/1916- Ulysses embarked Fremantle en route for the Suez Canal
22/04/1916- Disembarked Alexandria Egypt, troops were trans-shipped to the ” Ansonia ” for final leg to Marseilles, France
5/05/1916- Disembarked Marseilles France
8/05/1916- Entrained to Hazebrouck to set up Camp. At the Camp, the Mining Corps were disbanded and 3 Australian Tunnelling Companies were formed. Harold was transferred to the 3rd Australian Tunnelling Company
27/11/1916- Killed in Action, Hersin, France.
