” At LOUVERVAL , during the period 10th to  17th April 1917, and especially on the 15th April 1917, Lieutenant Cooke, Signal Officer, established and maintained communication  between Company, Battalion and Brigade Headquarters.  This work called for extreme endurance and courage,  for the lines were continually broken by shell fire.  The communication established assisted very materially the success of the operations on the Battalion Sector “.
