AWARD OF MILITARY CROSS
“This officer was detached with his troop as Right Flank Guard to the Regiment in its advance on Jenin on 20/09/1915 and whilst carrying out this duty came upon nearly 1000 of the enemy issuing from the olive trees near Kefr Adan. With quick decision and acting with the greatest boldness and determination he extended his troop and charged with the sword right home, completely demoralizing the enemy with the result that the whole party was captured by him. Although continually sniped at he succeeded in disarming the lot”.
