Senior Nurse,  Helen DOYLE sailed to England in 1915, at 28 Years of Age,  and Enlisted with Queen Alexandra’s Imperial Military Nursing Service ( QAIMNS ).
She undertook extensive service in France from October 1915 until February 1919.
Nurse Doyle returned to Australia on 21st May 1919 per ” Osterley ”
She remained in the Nursing Profession in W.A. until her retirement in 1959.  Her postings as a Matron included Country Hospitals such as Margaret River,   Sandstone District,  Wiluna District,  Northam Migrant,   Geraldton Maternity and at Kiama Private Wembley.

NOTE;  Nurse Doyle also had two Brothers who enlisted in the Great War 1914-1918-  Pte. DOYLE,  Sidney Campbell,  2880, 16th Battalion who returned to Australia for Discharge and Pte. DOYLE,  Henry Wright, 3450,  16th Battalion, who was Killed in Action in Belgium on 26 September, 1917.
