27/09/1917- Killed in Action Belgium.

 

REPORT OF SOLDIER’S DEATH

Informant –  ” TAYLOR, Pte. A.E. 16th Battalion- On September 27th we were at Polygon Wood and made an attack at about 6.00am. HARRISON went over with me  and we obtained our objective. He was about 10 yards from me  when he was hit by a shell and was killed at once. I knew him well and  and come over from Australia with him. He lived at Perth. He was a thin faced man with a reddish colour. My mother has had a letter from HARRISON’S people in Australia and they  know that he is killed “.
