George Anderson MOTION had served for 3 years with the Black Watch, Royal Highlanders, Scottish Division prior to emigrating to Australia.  His service took him to South Africa during the Boer War.  The Collie-Cardiff R.S.L. holds the Boer War Medal, which includes clasps for Orange Free State Transvaal, South Africa 1901, and South Africa 1902.
