28/04/1916- Court of Enquiry held at Serapeum Egypt, found MUNN to be Killed in Action near Quinns Post Gallipoli.
SOLDIER’S DEATH
Letter from LIEUT CURLEWIS, Bunbury WA :- ” 16th Battalion charged on the night of the 2 May 1915 at ” Dead Mans Ridge” in front of Pope’s Hill, immediately to the left of Quinns Post “.
AUTHORS NOTE:-
Soldiers Christian Names was ALBAN ( his father was a Minister and named his children after Saints – e.g. St Alban ). Being unfamiliar with this Christian Name, the Army incorrectly presumed his Christian Name to be Allan ).
Alban Shepherd MUNN was born at New Ferry, Cheshire, England on 14 June 1892.
