BROTHER’s SERVICE DETAILS

PIESSE, Lieut Charles Oxley –11th Battalion,  Enlisted 24/03/1916, Died of Wounds Received in Action 07/12/1917 ( Received gunshot wound to left leg, then died of complications from Pneumonia).
Sadly, the soldiers belongings were lost at sea when the vessel “Barunga” was sunk by enemy action and all cargo vanished. The next of kin were to receive an inventory of the items despatched.
