13/10/1916- Embarked Fremantle WA aboard ” Port MacQuarie ” bound for England
12/12/1916- Disembarked Plymouth ex Australia to 4th Training Battalion Codford
8/02/1917- Proceeded Overseas 4th Australian Division Base Depot Etaples France ex Folkestone
13/02/1917- Taken on Strength 16th Battalion in the field France
11/04/1917- Reported Missing in Action Reincourt France
23/06/1917- German List advised Soldier was a Prisoner of War held at Limburg Camp Germany
9/12/1918- Admitted to Hospital within Prisoner of War Camp Germany
12/12/1918- Died of Illness ( Influenza ) at Schneidemuhl No. 4 Lager Germany.

REPORT OF SOLDIER’S DEATH

Informant – REDDING, Pte. F.C. 5079 – 16th Battalion – ”  Was with him on a working commando for 11 months- he was never sick until  he came into the Schneidemuhl Camp on 9/12/1918. The next day he was taken into Hospital, he was delirious and did not know any of us. He was taken from the Camp Hospital to the Town Lazarett – after that  we were not allowed to see him. The next we heard was that  he had died about the 12/12/1918. He was given a good military Funeral. The ” Last Post” was sounded. Two lovely wreaths were sent by the boys of the Camp. I was present at the funeral “.
