28/03/1916- Disembarked Marseilles
9/05/1916- Admitted 7th General Hospital France ( German Measles ) ex 1st Field Ambulance ex 12th Casualty Clearing Station
21/05/1916- Discharged Hospital & Transferred to 21st Field Artillery Brigade in the field France
18/11/1916- Admitted Hospital France ( Sick )
16/09/1917- Killed in Action Belgium.

 

REPORTS OF SOLDIERS DEATH

Informant – FRASER, Gunner T.D, 2768- 3rd A.F.A 8th Battery AIF – ” I knew Gunner Roy STORRIE, he came from Western Australia. He was about 27, medium height, build, and complexion, clean-shaven, single. Roy was buried in the Military Cemetery, the boys from the Battery attended his funeral, and a cross was erected “.

 

Informant – LODGE, Bombardier I.J. 1840 – 3rd A.F.A, 8th Battery AIF – ” I knew Gunner Roy STORRIE, he came from Nannup, Western Australia, and was a Farmer. I saw the cross that was made for his Grave. His grave is in the Military Cemetery Zillebeke “.

 

Informant – HORGAN, Cpl. H.G. 1854 8th Battery AIF – ” STORRIE and Major ROGERS, D.T.  were knocked by the same shell just outside of Century Wood, STORRIE killed outright, and is buried at Half Way House. Have not seen his grave , but STORRIE’S brother R.STORRIE, 8th Battery and gone to Australia  knows all about it “.
Added to the base of this report is the following statement:-  ROCK, Gunner H.O. 27245- 8th Battery AIF – ” I was one of the group who buried STORRIE as above described “.
