26/11/1914- Disembarked Alexandria ex Australia to Overseas Training Base
2/03/1915- Embarked Alexandria with Mediterranean Expeditionary Forces bound for Gallipoli Peninsula
28/04/1915- Died of Wounds Received in Action Gallipoli Turkey.

( Soldier was buried at sea between Gallipoli & Alexandria from the troop Ship ” Clan McGillivray “).

  • ( The soldier’s brother wrote to the Army saying he was contacted by Arthur SANDFORD and a number of his Brothers soldier colleagues, who stated that WILLIAMS was struck and killed , whilst on board the Destroyer, prior to landing ).
